Who Are We? Priced Nostalgia is a small press publisher and eBay store PowerSeller. We not only sell vintage toys and collectibles on eBay, but also publish books on buying and selling on eBay as well as price guides to popular collectibles.
History: Priced Nostalgia first started in 1997 as a mother-daughter business selling vintage toys and collectibles on a website called Firefly’s Online Garage Sale (after the My Little Pony of the same name). With the launch of eBay that same year, the business expanded into the online marketplace of auctions. Priced Nostalgia is proud to be one of the first buyers and sellers on eBay and we have enjoyed seeing the site grow and change with the passage of the years.
It was not until the new millennium that we changed our name to Priced Nostalgia, a representation of our company mission: to provide the kind of joy that can only be achieved by rediscovering a toy or other vintage item you remember from long ago. In those days, our slogan was “browse our shelves for free for a trip down memory lane or take a piece of nostalgia home for a little more.”
Our customers are the people whose mothers threw out their baseball cards by mistake, whose big sisters cut the hair off their favorite Barbie and whose father never let them have that huge Lego playset they find themselves thinking of to this day. In short, we serve anyone who has ever looked at something they remember from their past and said with a smile, “Hey! I had that!” or, “I want that back!”
In the early 2000’s, Priced Nostalgia became a registered Trading Assistant and began to put our eBay selling skills to use selling items for others. This extra volume of sales helped us to reach PowerSeller for the very first time in 2003, a status we have maintained since that time.
In 2003, Priced Nostalgia published our first book through our new publishing branch, Priced Nostalgia Press. The book, The Seller Ledger: An Auction Organizer for Selling on eBay, was the first in a series of books about buying and selling on eBay including The Trading Assistant's Assistant and the upcoming eBay Shipping Secrets and eBay Buyer's Handbook.
After the success of our books on eBay, PN launched a second series to do what we do best, reunite people with the beloved items of their past. The Collector’s Inventory series was designed to help collectors to not only keep track of every tiny piece of their collections, but also to provide them with a visual and portable version of their most beloved items to keep.
